Poultry Manager/Vet
we are looking for poultry managers whose key objective is to manage operation of the farm to produce desired results in line with client's business strategy, including ensuring that the stock produced is of the highest standards and meets the required specification in terms of welfare, weight, quality, and cost efficiency with Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate With Am Ensuring Relevant Information Is Provided Promptly And Accurately, Alerting Am When Problems On Farm Are Identified, Ensure Bird Welfare Is Never Compromised. Manage And Monitor Ventilation, Heating, Feed, Water, Litter, And Light
- Responsibility For Ensuring Biosecurity Measures Are Adhered To Ensure All Company And External Assurance Schemes/Standards Are Met At All Times.
- Ensure Weekly Paperwork Is Accurately Recorded And Sent On Time To The Relevant Department And Cover And Test The Alarm Ensuring It Is Operational And Any Faults Rectified Immediately.
- Ensure Site Security Is Maintained At All Times, While Reporting Any Issues To Area Manager And Ensure Site Is Maintained In Clean, Tidy, And Presentable Manner.
- Ensure Company Health & Safety Policy Is Adhered To At All Times And Ensure That All Codes Of Practice Are Adhered To At All Times.
Requirements:
- Initiative And Influencing Skills With A Critically Evaluating And Questioning Approach, And Sound Stock Management Background Ability To Manage Staff.
- Responsibility For Ensuring Biosecurity Measures Are Adhered To Ensure All Company And External Assurance Schemes/Standards Are Met At All Times.
- Ability To Prioritize Duties / Tasks.
- Ability To Work As Part Of A Team As Well As On Own Initiative.
- Flexible Approach Will Be Necessary As This Role Will Necessitate Working At Weekends With A Requirement For Early Morning And Late Evening Work.
